Major carmakers keep exploring the bountiful web3 terrains, and the luxury automobile brand Porsche is no exception. After the recent introduction into the world of NFTs by granting premium car buyers an authentication digital badge, Porsche is coming up with a new, grander non-fungible endeavor.
Founded back in 1931, the prominent carmaker released many iconic vehicles, including the history-making 911. This legendary sports car has once won the global roads, and now is preparing to hit the metaverse and NFT highway.
Thus, the first official 7,500-piece NFT collection based on the classic Porsche 911 welcomes participants on a captivating web3 journey, which is entirely devoted to co-creation and community. The release is scheduled for January 2023.
The inaugural collection, which will come as a part of a long-lasting large-scale web3 campaign, will be created by the renowned Hamburg designer and 3D artist Patrick Vogel. Each token in the collection will be a blue-chip, personalized 3D asset developed in Unreal Engine 5. Upon minting a 911 Porsche NFT, holders will be offered a variety of customization options based on the road they chose. Thus, Porsche offers holders one of three routes, as follows:
Performance. A universe infused with adrenaline and high performance, inspired by the racing experience of Le Mans or Dakar.
Heritage. A road into Porsche’s celebrated past, full of nostalgic details, breakthrough decisions, and bold design statements.
Lifestyle. A ticket to the luxury way of living full of pleasure, featuring jaw-dropping landscapes, breathtaking art, and glamorous nightclubs.
The Porsche 911 NFT holders will have to choose their path to help shape the design of their individual tokens. While each of the three routes embodies a specific aspect of Porsche’s brand identity, your choice of path will be crucial for the NFT's overall designs as well as its benefits.
Thus, according to Porsche, NFTs holders will access "an inspiring community, specially selected, as well as the opportunity to co-create Porsche's future in the web3 universe." The benefits will include both virtual and physical bounties and experiences bridging web3 and real life.
With this collection launch, Porsche aims to utilize blockchain technology and integrate it into existing and future processes and solutions.

Moreover, in addition to the upcoming web3 campaign, Porsche has come up with a physical art installation at Art Basel in Miami, dubbed ‘Dream Big’ within Porsche’s The Art of Dreams campaign.
